STOLEN

What do you do when you meet your mother for the first time in 26 years? Shake her hand? Give her a hug? Do I show her me footie trophies and me school reports? Will she feel like my mother? I don’t even know what having a mother feels like…

STOLEN told the stories of five young Aboriginal children forcibly removed from their parents, brought up in a repressive children’s home and trained for domestic service and other menial jobs. This tender and moving story, awash with the humour of innocents, went further than any previous account to bring the tragic human story of the Stolen Generations to the stage.

Our landmark play, STOLEN has been seen by almost 150,000 people in productions that have toured Australia and the world.
