We are celebrating the success of four BlackLAB Creative Developments, supported by Asia TOPA, produced by ILBIJERRI’s First Nations Lead within APAM (Australian Performing Arts Market).
Curated by APAM’s First Nations Advisory Group, and facilitated by First Nations artists, BlakLAB invests in future works through artist-to-artist collaborations between First Nations people across Australia and the Asia-Pacific.
BlakLAB artists participating in the recent Creative Developments included: Gary Lang, Rachael Wallis, Thomas E.S. Kelly and Aczel Gee, with Kamarra Bell-Wykes and Raymond Blanco as facilitators. Read more about the artists and their projects here.
The Creative Developments culminated in presentations to delegates of the APAM Gathering at Asia TOPA. Delegates, consisting of producers, presenters and artists from around Australia and the world, were moved and excited by the presentations. We wish the artists all the best.
