CASTING CALL: GOODBYE AUNTY FLO

APPLICATIONS CLOSE MONDAY 23 MAY

CASTING CALL: GOODBYE AUNTY FLO

Written and Directed by Nazaree Dickerson

We’re looking for female cast members to perform in this hilarious play created with mob for mob, exploring the ups and downs of the most natural stage in every woman’s life – menopause.

The script was developed by Nazaree Dickerson for ILBIJERRI, and was born out of real life experiences garnered from yarning circles and interviews she had with First Nations women.

This project is also part of ILBIJERRI’s Social Impact program, supported by the Victorian Government via the Department of Health and Human Services.

Seriously, it’s a hilarious play about an important topic, Aunty Flo, the unwelcome Aunty everyone complains about, but who we depend on for our very existence.  It’s time to stop hiding her away and talking about her in whispers.
