Senior Producer: Social Impact
Kim comes to us after a ten+ year stint at Regional Arts Victoria where she worked alongside artists, local government bodies, arts companies, health organisations and communities to create fantastic arts experiences for regional communities. Whether she was networking organisations, supporting artists and communities to raise funds and develop arts ideas, building community parks using arts processes or engaging whole of community participation in festivals celebrating diversity – art in community has been a driving passion.
Prior to the stint up in northern Victoria [Barapa Barapa / Wemba Wemba / Laatje Laatje / Tati Tati / Wadi Wadi / Dja Dja Warrung / Yorta Yorta lands], Kim worked on First Nations projects with The Torch Project, The Old Van, ILBIJERRI Theatre Company and the Victorian Writers’ Centre as a project manager, grants writer and administrator.
Before all of that she was working as a soft-hearted arts bureaucrat at the Australia Council for the Arts, and learned about Community Cultural Development by talking to artists about their amazing community engaged arts practise.
Kim’s far off distant Bachelor’s degree was in Theatre, and she’s pretty thrilled to be back inside the live art process at ILBIJERRI.
