Lisa Maza (Komet Clan-Mer/Yidindji/Dutch) has been acting and singing professionally for more than twenty years. Appearing in The Season premier shows in Sydney, Tasmania and Melbourne, Lisa recently finished the 2018 national tour.
Lisa co-wrote and performed theatre shows, Sisters of Gelam (Ilbijerri) at Malthouse Theatre in November 2009 and Black Sheep Comedy Show Glorious Baastards (Melbourne International Comedy Festival/Ilbijerri) in 2010.
Marking the completion of her Cert III in Media, Lisa co-directed documentary Living in Two Worlds, which premiered at the St Kilda Film Festival in 2009. She produced, directed & edited her most recent documentary Mazas Got Talent for NITV in 2014.
Lisa has a Cert IV in Business (Governance) in 2011 and is currently a member of Ilbijerri Theatre’s Board, St Albans Community Centre and Performing Arts – Centre Consultative Committee, Malthouse Theatre’s Indigenous advisory panel and is Convenor of the Brimbank Greens.
Since being awarded a two year Australia Council Fellowship in 2016, Lisa has also been enjoying working as a Producer for Yirramboi First Nations Festival and a number of different organisations in Melbourne.
