We are super excited to have had a Research and Development of a brand new work take place end of January.

A multidisciplinary piece of First Nations storytelling, conceived and produced by Daniel Riley, TRACKER will explore the story of Alexander (Alec) Riley, a Wiradjuri leader and Elder employed as a police tracker in NSW in the mid 20th century. Following his journey through a time of social and political upheaval, the work will reflect on what it means to be a First Nations person working within the confines of a Colonial system.

A rich few days of archival papers, images and discovery was shared by Daniel Riley, Bernadette Riley, Jennifer Medway, Ursula Yovich and Rachael Maza.

Everyone at ILBIJERRI is looking forward to seeing this beautiful and important project grow.
