Education

ILBIJERRI caters well to individuals with an identified interest in a career in the arts, with programs for early engagement, skills development, mentoring and professional opportunities, right through to executive leadership training.

We are very aware of the much needed resource of First Nations perspectives in primary, secondary and tertiary level education settings - and we are currently striving to further our strategy to ensure a robust presence in this space in the future.

Resource FOR FIRST NATIONS WORK IN SCHOOLS

In 2016 Kamarra Bell-Wykes commenced development of a comprehensive educational arm of ILBIJERRI, alongside much needed research and guidelines for engaging First Nations cultural content within the education sector. These guidelines were developed over several years and were delivered with the assistance of Rachel Forgasz (Monash University), Danielle Hradsky (Monash University), in partnership with Drama Victoria. The resulting resource document for teachers remains a well-utilised pack.
